Default Change to Shining Blade Costume

A simple change really: make it conform to your characters body and not instantly give you a warrior's fat body

(I assume this only applies to male characters? Maybe only certain professions?)

EDIT: Shining Blade Costume made my sin bulkier

Just looked at it on GuildWiki. I'd hate for that appearance to be fitted to my Monk.

It is just the males, and I am pretty sure it is for both. the female Blade/Mantle outfits seem to go fine, but the male ones look to bulk up even the slimmest characters (would hate to try it on a male sin or necro....)

The body mesh underneath doesn't change.

It's just an optical illusion: broad shoulderpads and baggy trousers, mated with a robe that looks very loose around the belly, make your character look more robust (ie. fatter) than it is. This is expecially evident on Male Elementalists.

A comparative shot. Please note that the Male Elementalist Ancient Armor was chosen because, being one of the few armors that isn't tight fitting, it's closer in perception to the Shining Blade Costume.

also make them visible in pvp! an extra $10 RL for 50% usable content is kinda lame XD

some argue it "hides" classes, but when i'm pvping i dont look at the enemy armor, i look at the enemy class HP bar.

SB costume looks ok on sin/monk/mesmer (male) but makes my ranger look fat, like others have said.

but the White mantle costume is good on most classes.

.just my 2 cents.

peace outside!

Same for a lot of costumes (eg Grenth's stuff). Refit all the male ones preferably. And whilst they're at it,make the mantle one for males the justicar armour...

Eh, i perosonally was rather disspointed w/ these costumes(after all the decemer ones were rather cool). Also, as a good sign, these dotn seem to be catching on as fast as i'd feard... ppl must agree that they look horrible xD.

The problem is there's really nothing to fix.

There's no alteration in the body mesh, the costume is layered and baggy by design.

I do think it was meant to be baggy, but the male boots of the Shining Blade are massive and the badges for the the White Mantle are huuueg liek Xbox.

If doing this, I suggest doing it to the wintersday costumes as well. They have the same problem on warriors.

Dear god yes!
I like that my Assassin no longer looks like a crack addict in it, but the torso is ridiculous; it's barely proportionate to the rest of the body, at least on an Assassin. The poor bastard goes from horribly skinny to mildly obese.

Unfortunately, I know for a fact they won't fix it. Such issues have existed in many other armor sets since their creation and have never been changed. I reported a graphical anomaly on the male Ranger's Tyrian collector armor during the beta that went unfixed until very recently I believe (a broken vertex causing part of the coat on the right side to jut out at an angle, exposing the invisible inside of the character model)
